Reason For Bordeaux VS Lorient Betting Tips
Bordeaux have been a far better side this term than they showed us last season, and they finally seem to be picking up a head of steam. They have only lost two of their last nine home matches in all competitions, and both of those defeats came against PSG.
Apart from that they have won five matches, including one against Ligue 1 title challengers Nice. This has lifted them very close to the top four of Ligue 1, and there is a genuine possibility of them returning to European football after their dismal showing last season.
In the Coupe de France they have had to face Clermont and Dijon, beating both of them by a narrow margin but progressing nonetheless. Meanwhile, Lorient knocked out Nice in their first Coupe de France clash but followed that up by getting taken to extra time at Chateauroux in a disappointing defensive performance.
The visitors have more pressing concerns on their mind though. Their poor showing at the start of the season has left them under serious threat of relegation, and staying in the top flight has to be their main priority right now.
Lorient’s 1-0 loss at Rennes at the weekend certainly didn’t help matters, and it leaves them rock bottom of the table with a six point gap to make up before they hit safety.
Away from home they have won just one match in 90 minutes all season, losing a total of 12 out of 16 trips away.
Nine of their last 11 away games have resulted in at least three goals being scored, thanks to their shocking defence, and that will please Bordeaux greatly.
The hosts have improved drastically in attack, as their 3-2 win at the weekend illustrated. They have seen at least three goals in nine of their last 13 home matches in all competitions.
This is in part thanks to their own vulnerable defence, but either way odds of 9/10 for Over 2.5 Goals looks a good choice, to go along with a 3-1 win for the hosts at 12/1 for our correct score predictions.
