Reason For Leyton Orient VS Hartlepool Betting Tips

Leyton Orient may have picked up an unlikely point away to Luton on Friday, but the writing was on the wall for them long ago. The 2-2 draw did end their six match losing streak, but they are still without a win in seven games and find themselves well short of safety as we near the end of the season.

There are just four games left to play in League Two, and The O’s find themselves rock bottom of the table with a ten point chasm to make up before they reach the safety of 22nd, which is currently playing host to Monday’s opponents Hartlepool. That means a failure to win on Monday would confirm their relegation from the Football League, whilst a victory might give the most optimistic of fans some shred of hope to cling on to.

Leyton Orient’s extensive injury problems certainly haven’t helped matters this season, but their recent run of form at home is dreadful. They have lost eight games on the trot at home and have won just three times all season, losing all but one of the remaining 18 matches.

Hartlepool haven’t exactly been fantastic themselves, again struggling against the relegation battle and finding themselves just a point above the bottom two. They have picked up a bit in the last week or so though.

Their draw at home to playoff hopefuls Carlisle on Friday followed on from a draw at Morecambe the weekend before, ending a three match losing streak and making it three wins, two draws, and four defeats in their last nine outings in League Two.

They aren’t great on the road though, winning just one of their last 15 league matches and losing 11 of them. They have managed to score in each of their last five though, so there are signs of improvement from Hartlepool.

Defensively both of these teams are pretty shocking. Leyton Orient haven’t kept a clean sheet in ten home games in League Two and have kept just two all season, whilst Hartlepool have conceded in nine of their last ten as well, making odds of 8/11 for Both Teams to Score look a good value offering. I’m also going for a 2-1 win for Hartlepool at 8/1 for my correct score predictions.

Head To Head

Hartlepool have won four, drawn one, and lost two of their last seven meetings with Leyton Orient.
