Reason For West Ham VS Tottenham Betting Tips
West Ham played out another bore draw last weekend when they visited Stoke, following on from their 0-0 draw at home to Everton the weekend before to make it one win, three draws, and five defeats in their last nine games in the Premier League.
They were by no means the only team to fail to perform last weekend, but it continues a troubling run of form for The Hammers as they struggle to live up to the success of last season. They now reside 15th in the Premier League table, and whilst they are seven points above the relegation zone, they have three tough fixtures to end the season on and there is no guarantee we will see them in the Premier League next season.
One major contributing factor to their fall from grace is their move to the London Stadium. They have struggled to find any momentum at the new stadium and have lost five of their last nine matches there in all competitions. During this time they have scored six goals and conceded a huge 18 at the other end.
Tottenham will be hoping to take advantage of this, although their time is running out in their race for the Premier League title. They beat North London rivals Arsenal 2-0 last weekend to guarantee that they will finish above them, but Chelsea’s win at Everton leaves them four points clear with just four games remaining.
Spurs’ Premier League form is sensational though. They have now won nine league games on the bounce, scoring 25 goals and conceding just four in the process. Even away from home they have won three in a row, and considering the lack of strength that The Hammers show on home soil, they will feel confident about making it four in a row on Friday.
Harry Kane may be the biggest star in this Tottenham squad, but away from home it’s been Dele Alli finding the net more often. The young midfielder has scored eight goals in his 15 away appearances this season, and at 6/5 to find the net again he looks the best choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.
On the balance of things I think another Spurs win is on the cards here. West Ham have been shocking at home all season and Spurs have won four of their last eight trips away by at least a two goal margin. Odds of 2.075 for a Tottenham -1.5 Asian Handicap win look good value for money, so I’m backing that alongside a 3-1 correct score predictions at 11/1.
