Reason For Perth Glory VS Brisbane Roar Betting Tips
Perth Glory put in a stunning display last Friday as they thrashed the struggling Hyundai A-League champions Adelaide United 5-0 away from home, to continue their promising run of form at the moment. This follows a thrilling 3-2 win at home to Newcastle Jets to make it four wins, three draws, and just one defeat in their last eight outings in the A-League.
This has taken them into a fairly comfortable position in the Hyundai A-League, with them now sitting 5th in the table with a six point cushion before dropping out of the top six. They are just two points adrift of 3rd placed Brisbane Roar as well, so a win on Saturday would see them move up at least one position.
Brisbane Roar won’t be an easy team to beat though. The visitors played out a 2-2 draw at Melbourne City last weekend, to make it four wins and two draws from their last six outings in all competitions. Their Asian Champions League campaign has started as well, and whilst it does require a lot of midweek games and travelling they seem to be coping quite well with it at the moment.
This leaves them, as mentioned before, in 3rd in the A-League table. Considering Melbourne Victory are seven points clear in 2nd and Sydney FC are an almost unattainable 18 points ahead at the top, a better placed finish than this seems unlikely. They do need to keep their form up to keep the likes of Melbourne City and Perth Glory at bay behind them though.
Brisbane Roar’s away form in the A-League isn’t the best though. They have only won three times on the road this season, drawing four and losing three to give them a tally of 13 points from a possible 30. Perth Glory have won five of their last eight home matches as well and have only lost at the nib Stadium twice this season.
Perth Glory are excellent going forward, especially with both Adam Taggart and Andy Keogh in form at the moment. The two strikers have nine goals apiece in the league, but Taggart has bagged his in just 14 appearances and is in the better form at the moment. This makes him an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions at 13/8. He has scored in each of his last four home games too and will be facing a Brisbane Roar defence who have conceded seven goals in their last four away days. This makes that backing one of the most valuable of the lot in this game, and I’m also going for a 2-1 win for the hosts at 9/1 for my correct score predictions.
