Full Time: 2 - 1
Handicap Tip: West Brom -1 draw
Reason For West Brom VS Bournemouth Betting Tips
West Brom’s promising season under Tony Pulis continued in their last clash as they played out a 2-2 draw away to West Ham, courtesy of a 94th minute Gareth McAuley equaliser, which incredibly is the 37 year old centre back’s 5th league goal of the season
This extends The Baggies’ unbeaten streak to four matches in all competitions, and in the Premier League they have won four, drawn two, and lost just one of their last seven outings. This has lifted them to an impressive 8th in the Premier League, four points adrift of 7th placed Everton but with a five point cushion over Stoke below them.
At The Hawthorns things have been even more impressive for West Brom, where they have won six and lost just one of their last seven league games and kept three clean sheets in the process. The Hawthorns was always an intimidating place to visit, but with the hosts now such a promising footballing side they are becoming increasingly difficult to stop.
Bournemouth’s recent form hasn’t been going quite as well. They have lost five and drawn two of their last seven matches in all competitions, conceding a ridiculous 21 goals in the process. Their 6-3 defeat at Everton a few weeks ago shows how poor their defensive play is at the moment, and with Callum Wilson expected to miss the rest of the season with another ACL injury, their attacking firepower is looking severely depleted.
Away from home The Cherries have lost six of their last seven games and have an even worse defensive record of 21 goals conceded, averaging three goals per game. At the other end of the pitch they have only managed six goals too.
Salomon Rondon will be chomping at the bit to get out there on Saturday. The Venezuelan forward has notched seven league goals this season and five of them have come at home, so considering Bournemouth’s shocking back line, odds of 13/10 for him to score anytime look good value for money.
I fully expect West Brom to triumph on Saturday, but I think there’s more value to be had than simply a home win. Five of West Brom’s last seven home games have seen them win by at least a two goal margin, and Bournemouth have lost five of their last seven on the road by more than a single goal. This, combined with the fact that the visitors’ main striker is a doubt, makes odds of 2.850 for a West Brom -1.0 Asian Handicap Win look good value, and I’m also going for a 2-0 correct score predictions at 9/1.
